AYR (TAMS BRIG) GREYHOUND STADIUM

The Scottish town of Ayr has had 3 greyhound tracks in the past, the least known of them being at Tams Bridge and located at 4° 37' W 55° 28' N. It held its inaugural meeting on 16th December 1933 and operated successfully as an independent track for almost 40 years.

It closed its gates for the final time on 30th December 1972 and a curling rink now covers the ground on which the former track once stood.
